Hi! I’m Diane

I’m an abstract expressionist artist living in the Seattle area of the United States.

My paintings are honest, emotionally transparent and a little imperfect. It’s FREEDOM, ENERGY and PLAY on a canvas! My art would look fabulous on your walls!!

My paintings generally start with no specific plan or intention. The colors are those I’m drawn to for that day. Sometimes they are bold, “in your face” and other times soft and muted with a gentle feel. It always reflects my inner landscape. I use a lot of different tools to “sling” paint around on the canvas or wood panel. I’ve been known to use kitchen utensils, paper towels, trowels, twigs, brushes (yes, even boring ‘ole brushes), color shapers and my hands (that’s the BEST!).

Each painting evolves organically, intuitively to reveal my emotions and reflections on my life. I literally turn my inside out and show it to the world. It is truly a WILD RIDE!

There is a risk in being vulnerable, but there is also great joy in seeing something hidden within myself take form and expression through the paintings. I hope as you view the different paintings each might speak to something within yourself.
