This painting pays an homage to one of the pioneers of the Abstract Expressionist movement. The piece was created specifically for an exhibit at the Fogue Gallery in Seattle, Washington. The exhibit was titled "Steal Like an Artist", It was so fun to channel Adolph’s basic composition with a few exceptions: I used florescent paint and text on the background. The text on this piece is a series of words that relate to Abstract Expressionism.
This painting would combine with two other paintings using the same composition but with different text and florescent colors.
