"Adolph Gottlieb Goes to a Party" Triptych
ORIGINAL PAINTINGS ON CANVAS
acrylic paint, pencil on canvas
Final finish coat is satin varnish..
Individual image sizes 36 × 24 × 1 1/2”, each wired for hanging.
These paintings pay homage to one of the pioneers of the Abstract Expressionist movement. The pieces were created specifically for an exhibit at the Fogue Gallery in Seattle, Washington. The exhibit was titled "Steal Like an Artist",
It was so fun to channel Adolph’s basic composition with a few exceptions: I used florescent paint and text on the background. The text on each piece has a different theme which can be seen peeking through the background layer of paint.
