"There Are No Rules"
ORIGINAL PAINTING ON CANVAS
acrylic paint, pencil, wax crayon, Neo Color I on canvas
Final finish coat is satin varnish.
Image size 36” x 36” x 1 1/2”, wired for hanging.
This painting had a lot of layers. The first ones were laid down in a workshop in Austin, Texas. I was originally stilted with trying to follow the "rules" of making fine art. After more layers and looking deep within my heart and examining why I love painting so much, I finally decided to just "feel" as I painted. As I let go, the title snuck into the painting itself.
Sides are painted with colors carried over from the surface of the painting.
